Year 12 Day 364, 15:42 - Time has come
Hi guys
Sorry for this delay. Ok, I feel it is time to explain some things that have been going on on our side of things. I have not yet been able to talk to Nat but I think it is only fair to explain to you guys what is happening.
From Nat's side, it is not really my place to say anything but suffice it to say that the last contact I had with him he had experienced quite a severe personal issue that I fear has really hit him hard. I have not been able to contact him since that message in any way, and I am actually quite worried about him.
As for me; I managed to get the work situation fixed and even came out ahead somewhat! However, during my time away from SWC it became obvious to me that my heart just was no longer in SWC and that I had very little interest in returning. I had hoped just to work on CSL side of things but that too lacked motivation. I thought long and hard about things and realised I was spending my time making a game that added fun and enjoyment to another persons game (ie swc). I also realised that swc is a very negative community for the most part. Alot of players think the world revolves around them and have the attitude to prove it. That even came forth in CSL dealings and got under my skin very much. SWC is also a very limited game and there is only so much you can do in it. I played the miner, the recycler, the political game, the "bad guy" side - it was all done. I've seen the political shit that goes on behind the scenes of the alliances like the GA and it is worse then a real life political arena. I have seen the petty differences with people that would not help us with in game items for the good of everyone in csl in the chance we helped one of their rivals with. It is all just so....blah.
I have little interest in playing a game in which many people take it more serious then real life, especially when that sort of environment makes you annoyed in your real life.
So, to be clear, I have quit SWC. What this means for CSL I do not know. I am still attempting to contact nat in that regard (as well as on a personal level). There are many people I want to thank: To Tyr DeMeer, Ten and Corvis Orion/black sun - you guys supported CSL right from the beginning and were able to put aside ingame differences for the good of this side game. Not everyone was able to do that. Thanks to Sin/Zhao for his support from the admin side. We all need to thank him for the help he provided us especially with the granting of the shock glove item. To Ruben and Ragnos - without you guys CSL would have ground to a halt a long time ago. I can not thank you guys enough. To the more recent sponsors thank you for getting behidn this, it is appreciated.
To the general player base of CSL - without you guys CSL would never have been such the hit that it was/is. Nothing like CSL had ever been attempted before and I am very happy and proud with what we achieved with it. It went from humble beginnings of an excel spreadsheet to the number one sporting game swc has ever seen. It is truly quite remarkable and it would never have achieved this without you, the players. For that, i applaud you.
I have met some really good mates with my time on swc. Xavier, Dac, Nat, Ragnos and a few others who I have on facebook/email addresses for. If anyone would like to keep in contact with me in the real world I can still be contacted via pm on the csl forums.

Year 12 Day 252, 17:09 - Patience Please
Ok guys and gals, we have some news for you. And it is not all good. Seeing many people are complaining to me and via the forum that nothing is happening I have spoken to Nat in person (ie via phone) and we have decided to tell everyone a little bit about what is happening with both of us so that hopefully everyone understands and can just bare with us for a little while.
My RL situation currently: As I have already told some people here, I own and run a commercial cleaning, maintenance and suppplies business (we look after the janitorial issues/general maintenance/washroom and cleaning supplies for commercial/industrial clients). Lately with the way the world is, many people have been losing their jobs here and picking up a mop and bucket and saying "we can clean". As they are not paying business insurance, public liabilitiy insurance, WorkCover Compensation Insurance (which is, by law, all mandatory) they are offering their services at rock bottom prices which are below our costs just to employee staff (ie, just to employ someone costs us $25/hour on top of that we need to put enough to cover our own cleaning supplies, tax and a little bit for us. Our break even point is about $28-30 an hour. These "cowboy operators" are going into places around $23 or lower an hour). We have been under "attack" for the last couple of months with this sort of thing and I have been totally under fire keeping them at bay and protecting our business as much as I can. Fortunately to date I have been able to retain 100% of our clients but it has been a tough battle. On top of that the business is also going to start now into property investment and development as a side source of income to act as cover for this sort of thing. As I am sure you can understand this is taking alot of time, especially getting the investment side set up. This business is very important to my real life. I support a wife and young child with another hopefully on the way soon. My mum and dad are also invested in the business and are nearing retirement age. We employee 15 people that rely on their wages for their families. I am sure you can understand why I need to focus on real life at this time and be less devoted to a free browser game made for the enjoyment of those that play another free browser game.
Nat's situation. The last couple years has been very bad for Nat. I am not going to go into fine details as I did with myself as it is not really my place to but I will attempt to explain as best as I am comfortable to. Nat's grandmother has not been well for quite some time and this has led to Nat having to leave his home and move to an estate that is very run down and losing money like a drain. Running this estate, coupled with other personal issues in his real life and running his own business and his work his taken a toll on him. His grand mother recently also took a very serious turn for the worse so that is adding a toll to him. He is now at a point of burn out and he needs a break from many things - SWC and CSL included. Everyone needs to realise the truly large amount of time Nat has devoted to CSL since its inception. Honestly guys, its HUGE. And that too has led to issues in his personal life. Nat now needs to time to balance his life and in his words to me "detox".
Everyone needs to release too, that running CSL is not a picnic. It is more then pushing a few buttons. The game itself is still in beta phase in many respects with bugs flying around and other issues we need to address. We have "customer" issues to deal with all the time and each person that says "we have a problem" expects their problems to be dealt with asap. We have income and expenditure to deal with to make sure we can get the teams as much from their csl experience as they can. Let me assure you, and those that have run factions in swc will confirm that running a faction is like having a second job. It canbe as stressful and time consuming as a real life job. I know CSL is not a faction but I can tell you, I guarantee we have a lot more to worry about and have a bigger economy then MANY of the factions in swc. I know for a fact there is at least one government even that we dwarf. CSL is also very mentally draining for Nat and myself during a season. Honestly, it is. When it comes to the offseason often times there is no respite as new features and new issues need to be addressed. Sometimes we just need a little break ourselves. There is just that much work that goes into this game behind the scenes to ensure enjoyment for other people. If it does not look like it on the outside, then I guess that is a testament to how well Nat and I can do this sort of thing. We both have the real world experience which helps with a project like this.
We also get a bit depressed at times when people constantly complain about certain aspects, which does not inspire us at all. Sure, this is not perfect (yet) but all we ask is for patience. We have not revealed all this for sympathy or a sob story. We have told it so, we hope, you can understand what is required of us and why at times we just need to take a biut of a break from CSL. Both of our issues well and truly started during the season but we made the effort to ensure the season was able to come to a close.
In short, we all know what we have so far achieved with CSL. I am sure we all see what CSL offers to the SWC experience. Nat and I get nothing for our efforts - we do it because, mostly, we enjoy bringing it to you all. All we ask is a little understand and patience. We owe everyone that plays/played CSL and got involved in some way our eternal thanks. CSL is and always will be the premier sporting event simulator in SWC (until our next game comes out anyway). There have been a few imitators but none have even gone close to achieving the sort of success CSL has. This is because of the player base really getting behind us. Now Nat and I need your help again with patience and support when we go through some tough times.

Year 12 Day 235, 2:25 - Not quite dead yet
RL was a nightmare during these past few weeks... I'm healthy, fortunately, but there are a lot of issues to be addressed that are taking a huge toll from my time. I'd say that all the curse you addressed me for those training issues have worked after all 
I'll try to fix things and keep the schedule anyway, but please forgive me in advance if I'll be a bit erratic during the next days and, please, stop curse me and start praise your own Gods for me: this could help speed up things! 
Year 12 Day 222, 4:07 - Multiple training Holopad message
I've fixed ome training glitches today. As a result you recieved many training holopads (probably three). Those are a by-product of the process and should not be considered. Your training was fine, just deleting those holos would have been too much time consuming.
Year 12 Day 221, 7:13 - Anomalies...
We are optimising a lot of the code in order to have more control and allow an easier developement of new features.
I have noticed (thanks to some of you sometimes) some anomalies on past week training and brand new players.
In order to have the time to cross check, test and fix things, I'll disable the automatic training today and new player creation too. I think I will fix everything (and fire the training manually) in 24 hours max. I'll make another news then.
You could see strange things happening perhaps, in hte meantime. In case, don't worry, it's me! Everithing will be back to normality soon.

Year 12 Day 217, 6:00 - Playoff ties
In case we'll have a tie on playoffs (1win, 1 lose, 1 tie each team), we'll consider total amount of points made in playoffs to decide the winner; that's because we will favour the team who made the best performance during the final phase, giving that we already favoured the best performance during season with home advantage.
If point amounts are equal, the best placed team in season will win.
Year 12 Day 213, 5:52 - New Features
Well folks, here is the first of the new features that we are developing. We have decided we will tell you about some of the things we have been developing (some of them since day 1 of CSL V2.0) and get feedback and ideas from you, the player base.
So, the first one is aiming to get all those free agents doing something. As we have said no new teams will be admitted to the CSL competition, if we did we would need more tiers which would mean it would become even harder for lower teams to rise in the ranks. However, with no new teams it limits the amount of people that can play in CSL at any one time. On top of that, free agents have little incentive to keep training if they have no chance of ever cracking into a team.
So with that in mind we are going to launch the Minor Leagues/Regional Teams/Some other name - prize will be given to the person that comes up with the best name for this!
Essentially what we have in mind is any one can apply to own one of these regional teams. All game settings and options will be available to these owners as it is for a pro team. Here is the general gist of where we are heading:
1- No regional teams will progress to the proranks. It is purely that, a secondary competition. Think NFL/College type thing.
2- No current owners and/or managers can own a regional team
3- No players currently engaged in a team may take part in games in the regional level. If a current player owns a team he/she can manage it but not be allowed to actively play in matches
4- The teams will play in an organised competition culminating in a regional division champion team, however only minor prizes will be granted
5- All players engaged by these teams remain "free agents" in the purerst sense of the term. They can be drafted into a CSL/pro team at any time and must be released immediately to do so. These players also receive no salaries as they are free agents
6- Owners can recruit the players from the free agent list they want, but in what format that is (draft/etc) is something we want some ideas on
7- To own one of these teams will cost 1mil credits and teams will be granted on a first come, first served basis
8- We will take as many teams as we need to cover all active free agents
9- All teams will still need to provide the requirements of pro teams in terms of banners/logos/etc
10- You do not need a stadium for this team if you do not wish to, but you must nominate some facility/station as your home
11- Will this lead to farm teams? Probably but in reality thats what minor leagues are
12- Free agents should take this opportunity to recreate their characters
With this in mind, this is now where you all come in. What we want are ideas/thoughts/ways to achieve this. From a name for this, to a format structure for the competition itself to anything else you can think of. I will be opening a forum area dedicated to this and we would really appreciate some feedback and thoughts on this!
Finally and on unrelated issue I want to address a concern some people are talking to us about. There are claims the game engine is dodgy because so many home teams win or results seem so random. We have said many many times that these two components of the engine are small and really have little impact. So then, I hear you ask, why does it appear to be the opposite?
Well, we have tried to be subtle but I think it is time to be blunt, especially with your chance to recreate. We have 95% of the teams as clones. Yep, from player set up to team line ups to tactics used. Hell, some teams even have 11 IDENTICAL players in term of stats. Why? Because someone was successful with a certain play style and everyone said "Ok, lets follow the leader!" While that is good and all - what it does in reality is cancel each other out and you only put your own fate into the hands of fate and luck. I can point to one example right now that proves you do not need to follow the leader to win...its the Guardians. They are not anything like a team cloned from any other and look how successful they are. I guess my point is, think. Name any other sport irl where you would recruit an entire team of the same sort of player. It does not make sense irl, it does not make sense here either. Take this chance people to put some life into CSL and into your title aspirations.
Year 12 Day 212, 10:23 - Re-creation points fixed
As some of you pointed out, the re-creation points where a bit excessive... in fact there was two small errors in the function, that leaded to huge excess of points for all. Now that has been fixed.
Sorry if you have dreamed of your demi-god player for a while: I'm a bit overzealous sometimes and this lead to problems, I know.
Thanks to all that helped me notice this mistake.
NOTE: Someone (mainly long time inactives) could notice a negative value; this means that over the time the player has become worse than upon creation. This means that you can take this opportunity to, at least, restart from zero! Recreating a player will give AT LEAST basic points back, no matter how bad your Skill points Avaliable is.
We are working hard to add ways to play for everybody, so you better tell all your friends and comrades to hurry up and "revamp" the player if needed!!

Year 12 Day 210, 7:01 - Skill points and re-creation
On every player_stats page, if you are authorized (your player, owner-manager or admin) you could notice an addition:
A new row below skills levels, named "Skill Points Avaliable". This value is the amount of skill points you will have at your disposal if you choose to re-create.
We'll announce the "re-creation window" soon, you'll have plenty of time, don't worry.
Please note:
- The amount could vary slightly after each training and the real one will be the last one before your re-creation, this is due to the fact that this value depends on your current skill points.
- that amount will be added AFTER re-creation; this means that you still have to create using 37 points, then the bonus will be applied, then you'll be able to add your points as you wish.
- Your player XP value will be zeroed upon re-creation
Hints:
- Think about it. This is a one-off opportunity, you don't want to waste it doing unwise things.
- Maybe make a spreadsheet to test out
- Talk with your owner, manager, teammates, etc.
- Most important, don't "clone" others. Many players are similar nowadays and this leads to similar teams, fighting matches where field advantage and random play a huge role. Try to be unique and find a blend with your teammates!
Remember, if you copy what someone else has done before you - you will only be as good as them - not better.
Year 12 Day 205, 5:24 - Sponsorship
As you know, in the past we have kept sponsorship to only non-govs. We have discussed this at length and asked some other people for their opinions on the matter.
Where we stand now, is it is very obvious where the funds come from regardless of what banner is up. Namely, MT league is clearly Mandalore (who might I add has been a strong supporter of CSL since Day 1 - big thanks to Tyr for that!) and that Tier 3 is clearly OR - big thanks to Helen for getting OR involved. As Dorn pointed out to us a bit ago, if the veil is so thin, what is the point?
The second point is I have been contacted by some govs that want to sponsor but not via a Nat. Now the question is, with 90+% of sponsorship dollars going back to teams - we feel we have an obligation to get as best a return for those people who have invested into a team.
So...
From here on out, any faction of any type and/or NFG is allowed to be a sponsor.

During this off-season you'll have the possibility to re-create your player. To keep the things fair for all, we decided to give this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as many veteran players were created when no-one knows about CSL mechanics, or following very bad advices. You could re-create or not, your choice.In order to keep the fairness, every player will have a total skill points avaliable depending on how long, how much and how good she/he has trained so far. Year 12 Day 174, 20:09 - Faction....here we come!
Howdy all!
Some exciting news! After almost 4 seasons of CSL and with plans afoot for new games/sports/events/etc we have been working very hard these last few weeks on getting a faction set up. Even better news is its almost all ready! Members CHECK. Capital CHECK. Plans CHECK. Home base CHECK.
The faction is not going to be what many people are expecting, and in many ways its something new that I do not think (at least that I have seen) has happened in the Combine before. I know for a fact some of the ideas we have and are actively developing are certainly unique and will add additional fun and depth to SWC.
With that, we are opening our doors to any and all that may want a change of pace in SWC to feel free to apply to join our faction. The faction itself will not be "CSL" nor will it in ANY way give anyone an advantage over another. IN no way will anyone other then Nat have access to code and no one other then Nat and I will have access to admin tools (except Ruben of course :P). In short, no one gains an advantage in CSL (or other sports/games/events) by being in our faction, so if you are interested feel free to join! No matter if you are an owner, manager, player or free agent, the door is open!
What it does offer though is a chance to be at start up of something that is going to be unique and special. If you want a change of pace from the normal SWC "mundaneness" and want to actively develop something that will really get a "wow" factor in SWC, then I can certainly say that you and I should talk about what may be on offer!

Year 12 Day 155, 16:32 - New owner, old contracts
We have discussed what happens when someone buys a team with players still in contract on it. What we have decided is the following:
1) If we are mid-season when the transfer takes place, all current contracts on the sold team are automatically reverted to a 1 season deal and will expire at the end of the current season. The owner and player may then negotiate a new contract if they so wish. Players must still abide by their current contracts and if, as usual, clauses are not met then the new owner has the right to terminate.
2) If a team changes hands between seasons, then all contracts are void.
3) Normally, contracts are signed to a team - not a person. Players have the right if they so wish to now sign a contract with a clause stating that if a team owner is changed then their contract is void immediately. This must however be added in contract clauses BEFORE signed by owner and player.

I'm currently working on the training routine; this means that you could experience some odd behaviours here and there regarding this aspect of the game.
Please note that what I'm doing regards rationalisation of routines and db and aspects of past training storage. Nothing about current training and effective weekly training code: you could set your training and it will go on as usual.
Year 12 Day 150, 18:59 - Team Ownership Transfers
For various different reasons, we have had to put a temp stop to team sales/etc. I do not want to go into details on the why of this situation but I am happy to announce that, with some changes and new regulations, team sales are now open again. For all team sales, please see the following guidelines:
For all team ownership changes: The new owner must pay a once-of registration fee to the GSL (sent to Kordath Stryder) of 40 million credits.
In the event that an owner is inactive for a period of more then fourteen (14) days and has not informed us of a leave of absence and/or leaves SWC and has not made provisions for his team prior, the team will revert to CSL ownership and the team will be sold via CPM. No 40million registration will be required from the new owner in this event as it will be included in the sale price.
Remember people, a team is considered an asset, treat it like one.

Year 12 Day 144, 9:12 - Blocked Shot Failed Vision
As you may have noticed, I'm seriously venturing into CSL code to squash all those nasty bugs, trying to add some features along the way.
Good news is: engine is working correctly and always was (this season at least :P)
Bad news is: There's a bug that assign the wrong "code" to a specific set of actions involving vision influenced shots and I still can't find why.
Fortunately the engine parses the action correctly and assign the score consequently, even if the comments refers to the wrong action and the shot won't add to the stats correctly.
I hope to find this bug asap, but the comment mistake on old matches will remain there anyway (stats will be recalculated)

Year 12 Day 141, 10:25 - New stats in the making
We've updated the match stats page.
This should fix all the glitches we've experienced so far on stats. In the process we've expanded our stats list: now you have a LOT more infos!! to read more easily, hover the mouse over the stats names, this will hilight the corresponding column.
We've spliced some old stats and added: assists (Yes Ragnos, we've made it) and play time that is the time involved on an action (either as offender or defender).
This week I'll update all stats pages across the site accordingly and fix the trackers

Due to alleged/possible abuse and a whole lot of "grey areas" being bought up, we have decided that as of today that if you drop your SWC character in anyway (dead/arrested/etc) then once you recreate as a new character you must retire the CSL player of your former character. This means you will need to set up a new player here.
In short: New Character - New Player.

While the results shown are likely to be different (given many teams clearly did not set up lineups/etc that far in advance) we still feel it gives a possible advantage to keen-eyed gamblers. As for CSL sponsors we have one category left. At the end of the season we give prizes to the best players in each category in each tier. As usual Dac has agreed to supply prizes to the MVP/Def/Off players of the year in each 3 tiers. However this still leaves the following:
Scorer, Blocker, Enforcer, Passer for each Tier. You can offer to provide prizes for one slot, one entire tier or the lot.
(Preference will be given to GA alligned factions/people on this occasion. The reason being is so far we got offers for sponsorship from IU affiliates, "criminal groups" and neutrals - yet nothing from that side of the fence. Being that CSL is totally devoid of politics I would love for the GA to contribute to the community. If you are not GA alligned still make an offer)
Year 12 Day 112, 16:02 - Vacation, Betting, Dates of contracts, etc
Vacation must come to an end, unfortunately, and this is what happened. I fixed the bug preventing a player becoming inactive after 14 days. Now, nobody can stay on vacation indefinitively.
If the system will turn you inactive, an holo will be sent both to your team and to you.
The dates of contracts are now fixed. From the Contracts page in the Team menu managers can see the correct date when the contract was signed.
Those who want to bet and need to transfer credits to CSL website can send the money to me, Nat`rhon L`uukh.
The betting odds for week 1 will be ready as soon as possible.
Teams can deal with sponsors for their own team directly, without passing from CSL. These are private contracts between the team and their sponsors.
However, if you want your sponsor to appear during your matches, CSL needs to receive the following:
- name of sponsor
- link to sponsor
- sponsor’s banners and logos
- slogan (optional)

Year 12 Day 102, 10:53 - Referees!
This season will bring us a brand new addition to CSL: the referees!!
Until now the matches were refereed by drones: working solution, but sometimes annoying, due to their absolute dumbness. From now on tier 1 and 2 matches will be refereed by sentients!!
We have assigned a referee for every match as you can see easily on the schedule. This process was completely automated and random.
If you want to know more about each referee you could either see them all clicking on the appropriate link on the left menu or one by one clicking over their pic in the schedule.
NOTE that:
1) Only strictness is implemented at the moment
2) Every value could range from 1 to 10
3) Drone referees for tier 3 act as having a strictness of 5 (value used also for all past seasons matches)

Alrighty, now with the next season getting closer to fruition (put your soonTM banners away :P) I need to sort out the sponsorship situation.
With that in mind, I am declaring all sponsorship slots open. How we will do this is work down the list one by one until we have everything sorted. So to start, the main sponsorship position is open for offers. Main sponsor is required to promote CSL through GNS or whatever format they can think of. You will need to have banners made to replace all the TGM ones you see around the place on this site.
Everyone is allowed to submit 1 (one) offer for sponsorship with what they propose. Every bidder is entitled to one opportunity to re-bid should their offer not be the best offer chosen by CSL.
Minimum requirements: Cash injection into CSL Shared revenue and prizes for winning and runner up teams of the SuperClash.

Year 12 Day 73, 10:38 - Contracts and such...
I've checked the overall situation, and there are many teams with unclear standings (inactive players, uncorrected contracts, not enough players, etc). Please have your players sign their contracts, and work on your rosters. Find a manager if you need one, and/or sort out your situation.Having the teams ready is the first important step to start Season 4!!
Please refer to Ruben Wan if I'm not around: he have no official role in CSL, nor any responsability, but will help me keep things up and running for a while (thanks a lot Ruben!!)
BTW:please note- Ruben is still a CSL Player- Ruben cannot take any decision by himself, but will always ask me first; but you must follow his advices as he's the marshall. If you think he's not behaving correctly please send me a DM, but I want proofs in that case! :)- He is volounteering here to help us start the whole thing fast and smoothly, please be kind and polite with him: I've asked him a favour, not the other way round!

Year 12 Day 66, 2:46 - Back on track
You may have noticed it already, and if not, you'll notice it now: I'm back.
I've had some RL issues and, additionally, where I live now is a beautiful place indeed... but with no possible broadband connection :S This means that I have to use mobile internet keys to connect: they are slooow as hell, unreliable and expensive, so I cannot stay online as much as I'd like to. If you don't see me on IRC don't worry, I'm here and working hard to start the season in a few days.
The things to do are a lot and I'd appreciate if you can send me a DM with all you need to be done, etc so I can keep track of them!

Ok, I've waded through all the contracts and made all the rosters changes accordingly.
As everyone can see, we have a lot of problems; i.e. 12-3 players on a single team; teams with o players; players who have signed for more than one team, etc...
I'll try to address each issue with the people involved; and I know someone already warned me about some of them.
If each team owner and player could please review her/his peronal situation and actively report to me in case of problems, this would be much appreciated and speed up the whole process a lot!

Year 11 Day 345, 5:03 - I'm still alive
I want to reassure everyone: I'm alive and doing quite well.
My moving is almost done and I'm working around the connection drama: no ADSL connection possible from my new home. I'll use a mobile connection while I search for a better (and cheaper) option.
Anyway, I'm back and I've already started to sort all things out for S4. If we where in doubt, now it's perfectly clear that one of our first goals will be to automate CSL way more than it is nowaday, so it will withstand my eventual future absences whithout freezing completely.

Year 11 Day 343, 17:30 - Progress on Season 4
So many people are contacting me re season 4. At this time Nat is away due to some family concerns and also internet dramas. (Truth be told I am a little bit worried about nat's welfare at present).
Because of this S4 is on hold til nat is able to reappear. In the mean time with the limited admin tools I have I will attempt to work on the contracts. What I ask you all to remember is this will be a manual practice and as such will take some time to do (on top of that it is nearing christmas and is my busy period for work).
I ask for everyones patience here as real life again rears up and bites us on the arse.

Year 11 Day 321, 2:45 - INFOS and UPDATES
First of all I would like to apologize for our "evanescence" lately: Troon is on vacation and I'm in the middle of an "emergency" moving, changing house, town and all point blank in less than three weeks... is quite challenging!
- Marshal and contracts. We are trying to formalize the nomination now, and we hope to have our new one in a few days. We decided to wait until then in order not to pile more mess over an already complicate situation; as it always is between seasons.
- Point and Salary Caps. The point cap will be considered starting from season 5; this means that you have not to worry about that right now. We'll define the point caps for each league before mid of season 4. The salary cap is now 4Mil.
- Fees. Starting now we introduce some new fees. This fees are mainly to avoid excessive swappings and changings; all this credits will be added to the pool and partecipate to team shares. If a franchise is sold to a new owner, the latter have to pay a 15Mil fee to the league (equal to the new team fee). If an owner would change team's location or name (or both at once) he will pay a 7,5Mil fee to the league. The "new owner" fee will cover the fee for a contestual change of location/name if wanted.
- Stadiums. Starting from season 4, each team owner will need to compile some additional fields regarding the stadium: Name, exact location, etc. To change stadium's name or location you need to pay the above fee.

we are very grateful to you for your patience shown in the last week. The planned server migration (which was well-planned) has turned out as a real nightmare due to concurrent, unpredictable and very serious events.
Now, the new server is up and running, and you are all welcomed in the new CSL website. ;-)
However, Mr. Murphy is still hanging around somehow, rattling off quotations of his tragic Laws. Therefore, problems have not ended, and you are kindly requested to check your settings and setups because the restored backup could not be fully updated.
On Day 293 (Sunday 19th September), the season will resume and matches will be played. Owners and Managers, please check your team setups as soon as possible to avoid forfeited games.
Again, those who have registered in the site recently and are waiting for their account to be activated (that is, waiting for a reply to the activation request by DM) are strongly suggested to contact the admins and/or to repeat the registration procedure. We promise we’ll be very quick in activating them... now. ;-)

This week, just because I'm on vacation... even the things that always worked decided to revolt: we've had the first training bug since a long time and an untimely team setting lock that prevented someone to set the team properly for the match.
Due to this chain of events we are forced to postpone today's matches until tomorrow (Monday) same time 7:00 GT.
This timespan will hopefully give us time to fix the training bug effects and give people time to set their teams properly.
We're really sorry for this inconvenience (and even more sorry for me who can be at the seaside or making a good swim instead! :S)

Yesterday Wim Jurgen stepped down from his position, giving Bantha ownership back to the league.
This was a move made in complete autonomy by the former owner and headed toward a "pacific" settlement of the explosive Banthas situation originated from a mistake made by the League. Thanks to Mr Jurgen for his helpfulness.
The League will discuss the new ownership during a small stretch of time. We invite all interested to contact Troon or me promptly.

The new betting system will go live as of next week. This coming weeks games will be the last week of manual betting (ie, after this week you will no longer send your bets and descriptions straight to me). So, for bets in week 9 send all monies to me (as normal) but then from week 10 onwards you will need to purchase "tokens" to use in betting.
To purchase tokens, send me the credits and i will credit your token account with the required amount.

So, moving on from the shamozzle that was earlier today...We are happy to release today Free Agent matches!!
All those players that have not yet been signed by a team will now, each week, get to play in a game and allow current team owners and managers to scout potential new signings. This is still being coded but Nat assures me the FA games will commence tomorrow. Here are how they will work for now:
1) Each week we will take all the FA's and try to make teams with 8 of them each.
2) Players will then be chosen at random
3) Then the teams will be filled with inactive players so that the teams will each have 12 players
4) There will a couple of fixed lineups that will be used
5) Active players will be used for the first two subsitutions, with inactives filling in 3rd.
6) All "team management" will be automatic, with FA team managers coming SOON(tm)
7) All FA's will recieve 1/4 exp of a normal match. Naturally, inactives receive 0.
Year 11 Day 246, 16:40 - Marshall Removed
Lea Delorme has stolen assets that were going to be sold to allow GSL to start some FI cities with the view of going full faction status in the very near future. As such we have no choice but to remove Lea from her position effective immediately. All contract concerns and player activations are to come via DM to me again now.
This is really a black day. Lea had proved to be the best marshall we have ever had and had done some terrific things. Nat and I have spent countless hours on this game (Nat more so then me) for the enjoyment and benefit of all players swc to give them some more flavour in their game. To strike at us is pretty low, even by Eidolan standards. What this also means is that the huge load of work that Lea was doing is now back on the shoulders of Nat and myself so expect some planned new features to take longer to be released, and for the delay between seasons to be as long as the last one.

When sending me a bet, c/p the odds/spread/etc with your credit transfer, just don't say "Punks to beat the Cats." I will honour these bets this week, but as of now if the correct format is not used the bets, no matter if they win or lose will be refunded.
Year 11 Day 246, 1:51 - Bet Office Beta testing phase
We are working to make an automated betting system that should make it easier to manage etc.
Basically, you'll have a "tokens" pool that will be used into the system. 1 Token = 1 Credit. If you bet on something, the tokens are removed from your pool. If you win a bet, your winning will be added to your pool. As easy as that!
You could always add or withdraw from your pool: Send credits to us (as you do now for every single bet) and we'll add them to the pool, ask us to withdraw and we'll send the creds to you.
This system will "play around" with our credits, especially YOUR credits, so we wanna be sure that the "core engine" of this system is working properly, before stating to actually use it; that's why I've started this beta testing phase.
I've added 50,000,000 tokens to every CSL registered user; who is interested in helping us, please use them! :)
I'll open a forum section for this feature too so you can give suggestions, signal bugs, etc. With your help this feature will be released officially on no time!
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A BETA FEATURE, NOT YET IMPLEMENTED. ACTUAL BETTING SHOULD BE DONE USING THE OLD PROCEDURE. THE TOKENS ARE THERE FOR TESTING PURPOSE, DON'T SEND US MONEY TO BE ADDED TO THE POOL NOR ASK TO WITHDRAW FUNDS: THIS TESTING POOLS WILL BE RESETTED AFTER THE TESTING PERIOD ENDS!!

We've added the gender and race fields for CSL players!
The gender will affect comments Soon(TM) and there could be, maybe, some race related bonuses (still to be discussed, could be not too).
To allow all existing players to set those fields, we've added a "set race" page to the player's menu. There you could change your gender and race freely for a limited amount of time: two weeks.
After this time, you cannot change them anymore and the page will be removed.
Please note that you HAVE to use your gender and race from swc or face the consequences!

We've gone through a quite long series of tests and finally found a better balance regarding experience and it's weight into the engine.
This sunday we could see some older players play better than usual; this is because of the aforementioned changes.

Year 11 Day 232, 14:37 - Banthas License Revoked
The CSL Council decided today to revoke ownership privileges of Banthas' franchise due to continuous non-compliance with minimum requirements from the owner; namely three consecutive matches forfaited.
Mador Anami, owner of the Banthas, lacked any activity during the last two weeks, and the team has no manager.
From now on, the Banthas will be managed by a CSL appointed staff. The League will take care of the team needs: promote a manager, manage match setups, make contracts, etc.
If the team will still be under CSL management at the end of the season, the League will pay the players' salary.
Banthas owner could ask to have the team back in every moment, but this will be granted only under some circumstances to be determined by the League; comprised but not limited to the payment of a fee that will be added to the season pool. The former owner will be contacted first, in case the League decide to sell the team. If the former owner won't be interested or won't agree to the terms of the selling, the team will be sold to the public. A minimum of three weeks must pass before the League could sell the team.

We have added a new feature.
Now every team owner or manager can make press releases! If you'll access your public team view page (now there's a direct link on the team menu too) you will see a form that let you do that: just fill in the title and the content, press submit and you're done.
Press releases will be shown on the team public page and added automatically to the Shocker too!
In the near future we'll add a max number of word, max number of releases each week, etc.
The releases along with all other RP stuffs will concur to a leadership bonus we are working on... more on this subject in a later news.

We've changed the shocker a bit...
From the readers point of view, the difference is only that now all articles, except the main one, are shortened and there is a "read more" button to allow full reading.
This will allow a lot more content into the shocker without clogging the page. I've also changed the editing flow completely, butthat's another story

We changed the team identity page. Now there is a small and easy WYSIWYG editor on each text areas. The buttons below each area allow to add: bold, italic, underlined, stricked text; undo and redo changes, "clean" the text, add unordered or numbered lists. Year 11 Day 205, 5:08 - Please Read
First of all, I would like to apologize with all of you because of my little presence here lately. This led to some delays and problems and I'm sorry for that.
Now the important infos:
Troon is having a busy RL so, please, send all DMs etc to me until further notice!!
Double headers are causing some unexpected problems, coding-wise. That's why things are not going so "smoothly". Basic stats are on now and I'm currently working on trackers. We expect to be completely on track for week two. Matches are ok, though, so nothing will be lost or screwed in the meantime.
Today we made all the cross checking needed regarding contracts, rosters, etc. There are some issues (e.g. players without a contract signed). We have sent a detailed DM to every owner involved; we decided to give them another small grace period (until day 210) because our delays could have caused some problems too. After day 210 all situations will be solved by us (e.g. releasing players, etc).
About Knights forfeit. Considering that: the team was set up for the other match of the week; there was no date displayed for matches at the time and that the Knights matches for week 1 are the only ones placed reversed because of a glitch (as we can see on the schedule); CSL decided to remove the forfeit penalty for the Knights and restore the final standings.

Season 3 will be a funny one, mostly due to the impressive amount of new teams starting their CSL adventure. I'll explain now how the entire season will develop.
TGM League
10 teams will play in the elite league. Regular season will span 13 weeks where each team plays divisional opponents twice and all other teams once.
week 14: Playoff 1st round best of three (2nd vs 3rd of each conference)
week 15: Playoff 2nd round best of three (winner of round 1 vs 1st of each conference)
week 16: SuperClash
Two teams each conference will be relegated.
MT League
20 Teams!! We'll have two conference and no divisions. Regular season will be 14 weeks long and Each team plays divisional opponents twice and all other teams once. To achieve that we'll have Double Headers: each team will face two opponents per week; one on Friday the other on Sunday. To help set up teams, the lineup chose for Friday will be automatically copied onto Sunday. If wanted/needed it could be changed at will. More on that on later news.
Week 15: playoffs for promotion (2nd vs 3rd each conference)
Week 16: MT Championship (1st of each conference)
Best team and playoff winner on each conference will be promoted.
Worst FIVE teams will be relegated to tier 3 for season 4.

With recent events in the galaxy, certain sponsorships of CSL are now up for grabs. What do you do if you want to sponsor? submit an offer of what your sponsorship would entail. All submissions must be specific in that you name what area you want to sponsor, the amount of credits/type of prize on offer and submit to me via DM. The csl admin will then pick from all submissions the sponsors. You can also elect to sponsor for more then the one season if you like. Sponsors must be factions or stable NFG's. Please enclose some information on your faction/nfg when submitting.
(eg, if you sponsor something for 5million credits, and commit to 3 season sponsorship, that equates to 15million in total over 3 seasons -this was an example only)
What do sponsors get? Publicity on this site. Now that GNS's will come and CSLRadio is up and running - publicity on those and the warm fuzzy feeling you get for knowing you are helping a side game for swc that gives people more to do :D

Year 11 Day 160, 5:26 - 2nd Team Promotion
With the recent news that we were promoting a 2nd team to TGM from MT, we announced that 2 vs 3 in each conference will have a chance to play in a best of 3 series for promotion.
This was met with rather lukewarm response with suggestions that the team to be relegated from TGM should have that match in an attempt to stay up. Now while that has merits, we have already announced that 2 and 3 would play so it is not fair to those teams to change that now. So!
For this season only so to allow us to get 5 teams into each TGM conference the following will happen:
Teams 2 and 3 in each MT conference will play in a best of 3 match series. The winner of each series will then play the team that finished 4th in the respective TGM conference. Meaning:
Kothlis Vs Federals (best of 3 series). Winner of this series will face Rangers in 1 match to determine which team will be in Coreworlds TGM season 3.
Cavers Vs Outlaws (best of 3 series). Winner of this series will face Rancors in 1 match to determine which team will be in Outer Rim TGM season 3.
For all subsequent seasons it will be a simple promotion/relegation system. If you finish top of your conference in MT league you will be promoted in the following season. If you finish last (5th) in your conferece in TGM league you will be relegated to MT league the following season.
Year 11 Day 159, 6:36 - First New Feature for Season 3
Two news in the one day? OMG....CSL admins do do things! >.>
With a new season, comes new things. Soon everyone will notice a "Point Value" appear on various pages around the site relating to players and teams. These points will indicate a players "worth" or how valuable they are based on their skill set/level.
So for players, this value represents your own individual "value."
For Teams, this value represents the "value" of your entire team, so the accumulative total for all the players on your roster.
These values will move up and down as players skills change through experience and training. Meaning these values are dynamic.
So, you might be asking "what is all this for?"
Since day dot when we were reinventing CSL, a certain former admin who will remain nameless insisted on a salary cap and announced it before it had been fully discussed. At the time nat and I had a different system in mind however we ran with the salary cap. The idea behind a salary cap is two fold.
1) Ensure the poorer teams can compete with the richer ones
2) Ensure the player talent pool is spread evenly over the entire competition so to allow a more competitve league.
The problem with a salary cap in this game is there is no way for us to monitor and enforce the salary cap (you know who you are that are paying more ;) ). The other problem is it in no way allows for the spreading of talent around. So we end up with teams with all the experienced players. What we want to avoid is what you have in the English Premier League and other Soccer competitions, 4 super teams with all the talent and other teams just to make up numbers.
The solution here is a "Points Cap" system. A point cap will be applied to each team, so that the total value of all their roster must be equal to OR less then the appointed value. So in way of explanation, for example if the team cap was set at 500 points, you need to fit 11 players in your roster with a total point value of 500 or less.
I hear you ask, but what if players "pop" alot through training and midway through the season/their contracts puts us over the limit? Do we have to kick players?
The answer here is no. You are allowed to be over your cap, however you may not re-sign existing players or sign new players to your roster UNTIL you are back under your cap.
As an example here. Onslaught start the season 10 points under their cap. During the season due to training their points value goes over the point cap. The can continue til the end of the season this way. At the end of the season they have 2 players whose contracts are expired. Either they off-load other players to drop them enough under the cap to re-sign these two, or they have to part ways with these players and sign lower valued players.
No points cap will be in effect for season 3, however will be monitoring it and by seeing your values now will allow you to get used to the system.

What does this mean for the salary cap? Starting season 4, the Salary cap will change.
The salary cap will be increased from current to 4million per season and relate ONLY to base payments of players. Any bonuses based on performance will be considered outside the salary cap and not counted towards the 4 million credit cap.

Nat and I were chatting tonight and we agreed that as of season 3, TGM league (top tier) needs to expand to include more teams.
To achieve this we have decided on promoting one more team each from the MT league up to TGM. To decide who, we will have a playoff between the teams that finished 2 and 3 in each conference. What this means is:
Federals and Kothlis will play a best of 3 games series starting next sunday (one week after this weeks SuperClash) with the winner being promoted to TGM Core Worlds Conference.
Cavers and Outlaws will play a best of 3 games series starting next sunday (one week after this weeks SuperClash) with the winner being promoted to TGM Outer Rim Conference.
The final series will be played over one week as the TGM playoffs work.

Year 11 Day 154, 1:40 - End of Season 2!
Well here we are at the end of season 2 of the revamped CSL.
Firstly, obviously we have had some issues with publicity this season (GNS/Shocker/etc). I can ensure you all these are areas we have been looking into. I know personally I have a few ideas that I am working on that should help in this regard.
Moving on, this week will see the final games for the season for tier 2. With automatic promotions to TGM league, it will be interesting to see which team from each conference will progress. And I must say it is sad to see that Rangers and Rancors will be dropping. But that is shockball I suppose.
SuperClash! Who can wait to see the match-up between Crushers and Onslaught for this seasons title. I really think this should be a great game. And on that note...the SuperClash will be the only game played next week. Because of this, set-up for the two team managers/owners will be cut-off on Wednesday of this week so make sure you get it done!
As for the Clash itself, we will be having a very special event. A live broadcast of the clash. Yep, thats right. What exactly that means you will have to wait to see.

TGM league teams: almost nothing interesting there in terms of IC and RP... the only forum that stands out is Echelon's. Congrats guys, really. A LOT of IC flavour, while talking "seriously" about training and matches. IC "meetings" and "briefings" with actual discussions, etc... you are the trend setters here! +2 Leadership for two weeks.
MT league teams: Knights had a good start, then faded away completely, maybe because of the team standings; Cavers and Red Storm did a good job, they are on the right track... but Kothlis stands out of the crowd again here. Nice job, keep it going! +2 Leadership for 2 weeks.
Players IC Chat
For the TGM League... you've been a bit unlucky guys, because Doner Kebab started playing, so his IC will count; and it's oh so good! There are some players that are fighting on this field and could win next time, with a little effort. Between those guys there is Ragnos Deott who is our runner up.
Talking about MT League, we have Archon Romanus winning and Wuma Uxal-Lumir as runner up. There are many players who made some very good posts... do some more and keep the quality: you'll be the next player awarded!
All evaluations, present and future, would count the quantity, but quality too. 30 medium intervents could be better than 1 very good one... but 5 very good one are better than 30 medium ones... We will run another similar contest very soon, so start filling the gap!

The first deadline has been set: Day 111.
On that day we'll wade through all the site and forums (especially IC Chat and Team ones), in search of all your RP efforts so far this season.
The best RP teams and individuals will be rewarded.
TEAMS:
Team bonuses are added to overall bonuses and applied to all team members on all actions.
Site:
Each team who will have a significant team description, a nickname, a complete mascot (image, name, description) will have a +1 leadership bonus for a week.
The best site RP team for each league (TGM and MT), instead, will be rewarded with a +2 leadership bonus for two week.
Forum:
The best RP Forum Team for each league will be rewarded with a +2 leadership bonus for two week
PLAYERS:
The best RP Player for each league will be rewarded with a +2 bonus for two weeks while Second best for each league will recieve the bonus for one week only. The player could choose on which skill among the following ones: pass, throw, block, vision.
Please note that bonuses are always intended in terms of skill points and NOT in terms of skill levels; therefore it is possible to have unmodified LEVELS after the bonus.
You have a week or so to fight for those bonuses: good luck!
Year 11 Day 102, 1:14 - Odds oddities
As you may have noticed, bets payouts are quite different from usual this week.
This is due to a couple of factors:
- We are using a new, automated and statistical system to determine the odds for each match. Those odds are then converted into a payout ratio.
- The old system was not balanced at all, that means that who bet on Flares winning recieved a relatively small amount of money, while the ones betting on sure winners were making a lot of it, way too much.
- This balanced system is borrowed from other sports betting system and will soon include lot of new ways to bet on our beloved sport
The resulting payouts are really spreaded out now and allow to win up to 7 times your money!!
This odds are statistical and computer generated; this means that they don't take into consideration sentient factors: what will happen during the week? A change of roster? A change of tactics? A couple of people improving?
For example, our "bookmakers" have had wrong predictions on 4 out of 11 matches on week 4...
So... happy betting!!
Year 11 Day 101, 8:34 - Rules Breach
Recently it has come to our attention that a team has been in breach of the player count rule. We here at CSL take breaches of the rules very seriously. We have designed the game with set rules so that it is as fair and fun for everyone involved.
Now, from time to time an "accidental" breach of rules might take place that are easily fixed however in this case the CSL admin team feel that this breach was in fact not accidental and an exploit has been used for a couple of weeks.
The Nomads team therefore will have the following imposed for utilisation of 12 players on their roster:
-The win against the Crusaders will be changed to a loss and the win subsequentially awardered to their opponents
-The last player signed by Nomads, Nash Pelar, has been returned to Free Agent Status
-Team owner is fined 1 million credits, which must be sent to Troon Kebris. All matches played before this fine is received will be counted as a forfeit regardless of the results.
The Rules are very clear about these issues and are available for all to read. If you have any questions about any of the rules please feel free to ask us, however please also note that rule violations will not be tolerated.

Not only they show values for this week now, but they better weight in fouls: allowing a 4FT foul is really a bad move; almost as bad as scoring a 4 pointer is good. and now this is evaluated by our board of experts.

Hi there. We decided to add a bit of RP flavour to shockball, starting from teams.
On the "identity" page there are some new fields:
Description: A text that will show on the team page
Intro: A text that will be used as "pre-registered" message to introduce your players during matches (If no text is present, a standerd one will be used)
Nick: an official nickname for the team, if present it will be used during commentaries, etc
Mascotte: name, avatar and description. If present it will be used during commentaries and on the main page
Please remember that we must stick to PG-13 and use common sense: no offenses, bad taste, etc.
In case of necessity we could delete the texts without notice and even fine the offenders.
UPDATE:
We've added the Awards section to both team homepage and player stats page. Now you can keep track of your achievements.

After a few weeks of badly timed computer failure, I am back and strong. Some of you have already seen me prowling IRC, but this is an announcement to tell everyone else who didn't know. Year 11 Day 82, 3:45 - New Handy Mini Feature
I've updated the team roster page.
Now you can access player's stats from there exactly as for free agents page and you could see a little red contract button showing over inactive players: you can release your inactive players now.
Just click on the button and confirm clicking YES on the next page: the player will be released and the relative contract erased.
Players addition to the roster is still made by Marshalls; please note that no player will be added to a roster having 11 players, no matter what.
On the Free Agents list the inactive players are filtered out now; to view them you have to check the filter on top of the page
Year 11 Day 81, 23:55 - Shockball Gloves
Just a reminder about the shockball gloves. Yes, ANG has been given the DC to produce the gloves because I am 2IC of ANG and the SWC admins like the CSL idea and as such have supported it this way.
No, they are not for sale. No, you may not have one. They are ONLY for Championship Gloves. That means if you want one, your team must win the SuperClash. At this stage only 13 gloves exist. 11 for the players of Echelon in season 1 for winning the championship and the other two are with myself and Nat.
Also, I would request that if you DM me asking for a glove and I say no for the above reasons - please do not go "behind my back" or "over my head" to the leader of ANG for a glove. You will not get one and I will know it happened ;)

Year 11 Day 80, 23:53 - Championship Glove
The Gloves for winning the SuperClash have all been spawned for those on Echelon that won the championship last season. The gloves are now in your inventory and are in the rooms whose ID you gave me via DM.
Year 11 Day 78, 4:32 - Bug Fixed!
I've tracked and killed the dreaded bug who afflicted week 1 commentaries.
I confirm that that was a commentary only bug, affecting one type of fouls. Now the commentaries reflects the real match. I've optimized some code to, this should prevent a lot of minor glitches.
There are still some glitches; like the one who list all the players on one team at the beginning of the match. I'll fix all of them this week.
During the next few hours I'll run the trackers and will reorganize our "bugbase" section of the forum so it will be easier to keep track of them, both for you and for us.

Year 11 Day 76, 4:36 - TO ALL OWNERS
I strongly advise to pick and appoint a coach for yuor teams, if not done already...
Expecially if you think or know you won't be able to stick around to set ALL matches.
We made improvements (you can now set everything long way before the matches), but still someone catched up late or barely before the deadline.
That can ruin fun for lot of people, in season 2. So, please, make sure you always have someone able to set the game up, jsut in case !
Year 11 Day 74, 23:39 - Prizes/Salaries Season 1
All prizes and monies have been finally paid out to team owners. Players, feel free to harras your owners now for last seasons salaries.
The only prizes outstanding are the limited edition shockball gloves (new item given to us by the swc admins). Echelon players please DM me a room ID so I can get your glove spawned at location of your choice.
Year 11 Day 74, 23:18 - Delays and Rego Fees
A couple things:
1) Sorry to those that were waiting for access, I have had a really busy RL week this week. You should all be good to go now :)
2) As stated in rules, there is a 250k rego fee required from the 8 original teams. To make this easier, when I send the prizes out for the first season I will take the 250k out of this amount.
Year 11 Day 74, 2:36 - FOULS
We have added a new section at bottom of Player's Rules page about the new feature: Fouls.
Please, read it carefully everyone. Read the "aggressiveness" bit too: it's changed slightly but significantly.
This new feature could influence some tactical decisions.

Year 11 Day 70, 9:51 - Man-to-man defense
I've added the fields to control the new defense feature on the edit page; right under the attitiude one.

Year 11 Day 70, 5:41 - Tier 2: Schedule changes and new feature addition
I'm sorry, but we found a couple of mistakes on the Tier 2 schedule and divisions. It's my fault, as this is an "hand made" part of the game. In the meantime a Team has relocated and I have to update the db to make it ready for the mandefense feature.
For all this reasons I decided to redo all the schedule for Tier 2 from scratch to ensure all it's working as intended. Tier 1 will remain unaltered. I'll keep all your settings for week one, if any. Please note that you'll probably face a different opponent.
Tomorrow is the first official day for Season 2. No other major changes will be allowed or made from now on.

Year 11 Day 67, 2:45 - Update
To guarantee the smooth start of season 2, I've decided to implement the referee feature only partially, and add some more later in the season, probably around week 3. This way we could also test the basic balance more with real matches.
During this first weeks all the referees will work the same, without modifications due to their individual stats.
I've also decided to unblock the team setup: from now on you can set up your team. I recommend the use of Firefox, as some copy buttons won't work so well under Explorer (I know Ellias, I'm biased). 
I'll work on a way to give returning teams the possibility to lure into their S1 settings...
Year 11 Day 65, 6:15 - All Stars Game Season 1
As previously announced, the All Stars Game for Season 1 will start in less than an hour, exactly at 7:00 CGT.
The All Stars game is played by the best players on each conference. The rosters are composed by only 7 players and the period duration is halved (5 min each).

Year 11 Day 60, 8:08 - Another new (small) Feature!
Well, we here behind the scenes have conceptualised and implemented another new feature for everyone to benefit from. This feature will hopefully increase role play as well as help players out during games.
In case some do not know, everyone has a "hidden" skill statistic that you never see, Experience (exp). Exp is gained only by playing in matches so the more time you are on the field the more exp you will be gaining. (Yes, this has been around since day 1).
Now, from this point forward for every post you make in the RP section of our forums, as well as each post made on your own teams forum, you will receive a small amount of exp.
NB: We will be monitoring this carefully. Useless spam will not be tolerated and spam topics/posts WILL be deleted and if persists, that person will find their exp (and possibly other stats) going the wrong way ;)
Use the feature as intended and enjoy the RP that comes with CSL.
Year 11 Day 59, 7:00 - Contract Clauses
Hi all,
Firstly to echo Nat's words - wow! What an influx we have had, thank you all SO much.
Now, we have come across an issue we did not anticipate. On some contracts that are coming through we are seeing in the clauses section something like "See [non-csl] Forum".
Now while that is all well and good for those that can access said forum, the CSL admin have NO idea what those clauses stipulate. When filling out contracts please fully explain each clause the player is signing for in the contract itself. Do not worry about space - it can take it ;)
Year 11 Day 59, 4:07 - Season 2 Approaching
Season 2 is approaching, and we've had a lot of new team registrations lately, and players too! I'm so happy to see so many people involved and willing to play! Thanks everybody!!
IMPORTANT: We'll close team registration for Season 2 -> SUNDAY 23:59 CGT
New player registrations could be done any moment.
We are barely keeping up with the overload at the moment, but I think that we could start Season 2 on day 70 (If I've done my math right) and first matches on day 77. You cannot set lineups yet, as I'm currently working hard on the engine; we will unblock that on day 70.
NEW FEATURES
As we have said before, we'll have lot of new features on Season 2. Many of them are still work in progress and will come later (some big ones!); others are almost ready and will be implemented from season's start. The latters are:
- MAN DEFENSE:
The team manager will be able to set a percentage of man defense to be used during the match. While zone defending implies that every defender "patrol" his/her area of the field; man defense means that a defender will follow his/her assigned opponent, no matter what zone of the field he's in (guard follow the center, left wing follow opposing right wing and so on). Man defense gives a lot more control on coupling. I t has pros and cons however: if you are better than the opponent you'll beat "always"; but if you're weaker, you'll be beaten "always"... tough decision, huh?
- REFEREES & FOULS:
We'll have a pool of referees, each one with unique characteristics affecting the way he/she will judge. Fouls will be determined by a random, heavy influenced by: player and team attitude; type of action; type of injur if any. Penalty will range from simple throw in to 4 Free Shots (1pt each). Yes... referees could be wrong; Yes you can complain and whine... no we wouldn't play the match again nor give you the address of referee's house...
We'll be glad to hear from you about this new features: do you like them? Do you have ideas, suggestions?
Year 11 Day 55, 7:40 - Apologies
Just wanted to apologise, I have had a few DM's/PM's last few days that have taken a bit longer then usual for me to action. My wife gave birth to our first son this week (after 34 hours labour!) and as such my time has been spent at the hospital and with the family.
Mum and bub are home now so action on messages should increase, although I may not be as active on irc for a while :)
Year 11 Day 54, 2:28 - Training
As noticed by many, Early this week a training routine started, again, messing the stats.
The whole training has proved to be very buggy. In order to get rid of all this problems once and for all; I'm completely rewriting the training piece of the engine from scratch. It will take some time... a little more than expected, actually. This means that all training session will be suspended this week and would start again during the next one.
All wrong training will be reverted asap.

Year 11 Day 53, 3:03 - Roster Update
I've checked all the contracts and updated rosters accordingly.
All players who have signed a valid contract are now into season 2 roster. Please double check if there are some issues.
Please note:
- Only SIGNED contracts are valid, this means that the player have to sign it to be added to the roster.
- Every season one player not signed is now a free agent
- Every team MUST have at least 7 players on the roster to play the season
- Some players on the "free agent list" have a "next season" team. This is due to an engine change we are doing, please ignore it.

During the next week or so, you may experience errors, glitches, missing pages, strange behaviours, and so on; this would be caused by our heavy maintenance routine.

Year 11 Day 49, 11:51 - New Player Sign Ups
Please, when you are new, please read the rules/instructions carefully concerning registering for the game and character creation.
Just to recap a couple issues I have been getting asked and/or noticed happening:
1) You MUST register here with your EXACT Combine handle. If you do not your character will not be processed.
2) You MUST send me, Troon Kebris, a DM on the Combine stating you are ready to play CSL. Once you do this I will activate your account here. The reason for this is that we want to make sure that the users here equate to real players on combine.
3) There is no bug with your stats/skills. We have been getting many "Your character creation is broken - my [insert skill here] should be "legendary" but its only atrocious. Fix it!" Simply put - there is no bug, read the rules relating to selecting your skills :)

Year 11 Day 48, 4:39 - Off Season Pause
Season 1 will officially end this Sunday, after the Superclash.
During first half of next week, the League Marshals will review all the contracts and finish players assignment to teams. Teams and players could contact, trade, sign, etc at will even after that period, of course. Soon after, we'll release Season2 schedule.
The offseason pause should last for three weeks. We chose to take a week more than "normal" so we have time to make some much needed improvements to the engine that could only be done with the "engine turned off"
.
I plan on introducing some nice new features too. 
In case we would encounter unexpected problems working on the engine, we could postpone Season 2 start. If this will be the case, we'll alert you.
Year 11 Day 42, 4:22 - New League Marshal
As Maryk announced some time ago, CSL was looking for a new League Marshal to step in to assist him. Soon after I decided to apply for the position. I have always been a supporter of new ideas in the SWC community and am happy to support CSL and GSL as a whole.
By joining I add my five years of SWC experience and charm to the team. This should make life a bit easier for Maryk and others.
Feel free to DM me (Miebar S`Jimbo) if you have anything that needs attention from a League Marshal. DMs are the fastest way to contact me! I will also be monitoring and moderating the CSL forums for y'all, so any issues can be presented there as well. Maryk is still League Marshal as well, so don't feel like you need to throw it all at me ;)

Year 11 Day 42, 4:08 - Forum Update
We started to make all the changes and updates necessary for Season2!
In particular, we've added a sub-forum for every new team, accessible only by members of each team's forum group. Every team group have a leader (the team owner), who could manage members. It's team owner responsibility to keep the group up to date, deleting or adding members.
Archon Romanus decided to keep playing as player and owner of Dolstan Destroyers. This means that he is not a CSL Admin anymore. One main consequence is that we have now another forum administrator: the League Marshal Miebar S`Jimbo.
Year 11 Day 39, 13:35 - What now?
Ok, now that we are at the stage of final week of this season we need to let everyone know when games will play for those of us that like to watch the live events.
This Coming Sunday - no game.
Mid next week will be 3rd place playoff, Onslaught Vs Crushers.
Sunday week (day 48 if my math is right) will be the SuperClash - Echelon Vs Rangers.
Some time after this will be the All Stars Game.
As some of you know, the final was originally ment to be played this Sunday, however I asked Nat to hold it off so that I could hit the promotion trail with multiple GNS etc and really have some good buildup for the end of this season - and hopefully allow some good betting to take place.
Year 11 Day 38, 12:13 - The LM's help those who help themselves
As a reminder to all. If you have already accepted a contract and then are offered another one, you must decline it. If you've been sent a contract and haven't accepted it, this is your responsibility as other team owners/managers will see you still as a free agent. Lately there have been some issues with some players being sent multiple contracts when they've allegedly agreed to another team.
This helps me out and saves me the headache and a happy Marshal makes for a happy season :D
Year 11 Day 37, 4:00 - Admins and playing
Starting from Season 2 no one will be allowed to hold admin positions while playing in the same game.

All admins playing positions will be released when Season 1 ends.
This rule will apply to all future GSL games as well.

Year 11 Day 36, 16:36 - Recent Sim News
Due to the recent sim news, the Combine has gone crazy banning people randomly (30 known at the moment). As this isn't the result of administrative actions on the part of the admins in SWC, anyone playing CSL this week who has been affected by the ban (Myself included) will not be affected here in CSL.

Year 11 Day 35, 5:32 - Drastic decisions
This is a last minute decision.
The issue with today matches "showing" before intended could mean that other things went wrong. All seems right, but I cannot be 100% shure that the engine worked as intended.
Probably the playoff modifications I've done in a hurry have introduced a couple of bugs. I'm reviewing all the code right now.
For this reason I decided to run the matches again, overviewing the process.

Year 11 Day 35, 1:55 - Early Scores Showing
Howdy all
As most of you know scores showed up today very early for the first round of the finals series. After much conjecture and debate about what is right and what isn't please allow me to explain and finally make it known what these scores mean.
To do that though I need to explain how the engine works. Once the game engine locks out the setting period (so after cut off for submitting your game setting) the engine straight away fires the game and sims the result. This is so Nat can look over things etc and ensure the engine did not develop a bug somewhere along the way and stuff things up. Once that is done the game then sits til the commentary is ready to go out and then we can all watch the game "live" and enjoy the banter on irc during the match up.
Now, what happened today was a bug - but not one effecting the game. The results showing are THE game results for this week and are standing. The only issue is why the scores showed when they did - something that Nat is fixing now.
So, to the victors - Congrats! To the losers - better luck in the next game :)
Year 11 Day 29, 3:03 - Post Season
Here we are!
As someone pointed out recently, what would happen during post season wasen't clear, to say the least... I have to admit it and apologize. Our fault.
Let me try to explain how the playoff will work.
Semifinals
Two best team on each conference will face each other to determine the finalist.
We choose a "best-of-three" series to minimize the "luck factor".
A best-of-three playoff is a head-to-head competition between two teams in which one team must win two games to win the series. Two is chosen as it would constitute a majority of the games played; if one team wins both of the first two games, the third game is not played.
First and last (if needed) round will be played on best conference team's field; while the second one will be played on second best team's field.
Rounds are played every other day, starting from Sunday, at 6:00 CGT. The "set-up window" will go from 0:00 CGT to 0:00 CGT.
Final
The final will be a single match hold on the CSL Stadium. The CSL Stadium is a neutral field, so no team will recieve home advantage.
In the unlikely case of a tie; there will be an over-time. OT would be held one period at a time until one of the teams is ahead at period's end.
The final will be played on Sunday. Y11 D41, 6:00 CGT.
NOTE
All players will train normally every Friday
Year 11 Day 20, 8:40 - Insert Title Here
There was an issue with training this week (again?)... All players trained twice, but the second time they all trained on nothing, losing some on two different skills.
The problem should be solved now and I've given back all skill lost to every player.

Year 11 Day 15, 16:26 - The CSL X-Factor!
Well it's not quite but it is similar! As the next season approaches, so too do new teams. The role of League Marshal has been added to quite extensively that now, I have foreseen the need for an additional League Marshal. This is now for several reasons, reasons I've been thinking on for a while now.
1) I need to concentrate on specific areas (i.e. investigations) without having to put them on hold because owners want their contracts signed. So the areas of the League Marshal will be split between the new LM and myself.
2) There will be more teams, with more teams come a ton of more workloads and responsibilities as highlighted above. Without overwhelming myself in this, I will need an extra pair of hands onboard.
3) League Marshal's are not exempt from playing in the CSL, in fact everyone can play. This causes a problem which without a second LM on board cannot be done without opening the GSL to the possibility of cries of foul play. The problem is if myself ever gets investigated, the only one whose role that is to do that is myself and well, I'm automatically biased from the beginning, so it's not fair on the CSL, Owners or the GSL to be handling this role on my own.
Now, there will be things I will be looking for in the new LM, so should you send me a PM wanting to become one, I need the following information:
- History of Experience
- What makes you good for the role
- What you currently do in the CSL/GSL (Including team you play on, if any)
The last requirement comes from the GSL itself. The applicant will be willing to join the GSL faction when it is created. This requirement is not optional, however until GSL creation remaining in your current faction is permitted.
I'll run this until I've found another LM to come onboard.

Year 11 Day 14, 9:15 - Better forfeiting rule
This week, Meerec Wildcats formation wasn't presented to the referees board on time.
The CSL board of director decided to change the rules regarding forfait in order to lighten up the consequences for the players on both teams.
From now on, a forfeiting team will play a normal match using last match's setup; this will allow every player to update their stats without completely lose a match, stats-wise.
After the end of the match, the forfeiting team's score will be changed to 0. This will leave te team with a zero point defeat, no matter what score was achieved during the game.

Year 11 Day 8, 2:31 - Trackers Fixed
The trackers update function was a little buggy updating ex players/now free agents. I've completely redone it, using a way more consistent logic.
The trackers were reupdated and are right on every aspect; and will be so from now on. On particular, the once missing Josef Abelev is back, still best Blocker of the League, even without playing last match!!
Year 11 Day 5, 3:36 - BUG! CONTRACT REJECTED.
There's a nasty bug preventing some specific players from succesfully sign a contract.
The reason is still unknown and we are investigating.
If you are experiencing problems signing contracts, please report it on the forum topic under "Help, Support & Bugbase"
UPDATE: The problem is Internet Explorer! The contract page doesn't work properly with some versions of IE. I'm working to find solution. In the meantime I strongly suggest everyone to go get another browser!! Quickly!! 
Year 11 Day 4, 1:49 - New, automated, contract system
This week feature is huge!
We have a new, easier, faster system to handle contracts. First of all, we have two different pages now: one showing free agents (players without contracts this season) with all the stats; another one with expiring contracts (players without a finalized contract for next season). Every player have a "send contract" link that will bring you to the contract filling page. The same page could be reached using the team menu: Contracts->new contract.
Fill all needed informations here. EG: my proposal is three season, starting from beginning of second season; 10k creds per season, 10k creds as bonus if player end season on first 5 MVP position and a payrise of 10k each season. I'll compile all the fields accordingly, using 10000 for 10k creds, and add on "special clauses": "Bonus paid if player end season on first 5 MVP position".
ATTENTION! There is no automatic control whatsoever, at the moment, you can review the contract before final signature and sending, but once signed is valid!!
Every contract could be retired any moment by the owner, clicking on the button on "contracts" page, but only if the player has not accepted it yet!!
Now a holomessage is sent to the player and all other teams to inform. (We added team holopads and a "new message alert system").
The player will recieve the contract into the "contracts" page, review it and, when ready, accept or reject it; again, an holo will inform every team.
In the meantime, the Marshall will review every contract and can approve or reject them.
A contract is valid only if made using this system, signed for approval by the player AND by the Marshall.
About signing: a green ticker means approved; a green question mark means pending and the red stop sign means rejected.
All official contracts already made using the old system was added to the new, please review them to ensure there are no mistakes; all other contracts, new or pending, must be filled again using the new system.

Year 11 Day 1, 4:17 - Who's the best?
Starting this week, we'll have a new feature: players tracker!
Clicking on "Trackers" on left menu, you can see a lot of players standings: MVP, best offensive, best defensive, best shooter, best passer, best blocker, best enforcer!!
There you can see, also, if a player changed position from last week standings.
Another small but useful addition is "field time" (ft) stat. This stat is NOT retroactive, so it will display field time starting from this sunday only.
IMPORTANT!!
We've spotted some inconsistencies on fatigue manage functions: On some extreme circumstances, the results where plain wrong (happened just once so far without real consequences on match outcome), while in general the whole fatigue increasing/decreasing during the match is not going as intended.
Starting from next week matches, the engine will use totally new functions to calculate fatigue levels: on a practical level, keep in mind that:
- All players will fatigue slightly, but noticeably, faster.
- Low endurance players will recover slightly faster than now.
- High endurance players will recover slightly slower than now.
Please keep in mind this changes when you set up your team for next week!!
Year 10 Day 364, 11:14 - Old Training bug and known "live" ones
As many of you have probably seen already, this week training didn't work properly regarding old training storage.
First of all, I would assure all of you that the training itself worked properly and as intended: everyone has trained exactly as setted.
I'm working on engine optimization and, unfortunately, a poorly written routine by Yours Truly didn't worked properly and introduced a real mess on old training logs...
The whole training functions are being rewritten, optimized and tested this very moment and would work as intended starting from this week.
About the new "live" commentaries... there are two known bugs that we couldn't resolve prior to matches:
- Playing drones (if any) are considered as one single player, this results in every drone displaying in the same way.
- Sometimes additional infos on subs don't display. On that case, you can simply read it on the commentary.

Year 10 Day 364, 3:24 - LIVE MATCHES
This week, as announced, we can enjoy the new "live" broadcast system!
If you want to dive into the live action, tune in at 6:00 CGT
Every 15 mins a new period will be avaliable, until all 8 are played. When the time is right, the page will refresh automatically, showing the link to the now avaliable period. Trying to access a period before it is actually played will result in an "access denied" page.
Some minutes after the matches are over, all the stats will be updated and match stats will be avaliable to see.

Year 10 Day 358, 5:56 - Commentary
Some of you may have noticed this week that the commentary was a bit...wonky. As in we have intros at the bottom, final scores in the middle, Rancors winning, lack of red when scoring, etc.
Firstly, let me say that all results are correct and stand. Secondly, there is a reason for these bugs so please do not post bug reports or suggestions asking they be fixed because they will not be.
The reason they won't be is because starting next week we are launching an entire NEW commentary system which makes the current model redundant. (please note, the way the games run will remain the same - just commentary is changing.)
The bugs and changes you see in commentary now are a direct cause of this system running in the background at this time but not being utilised. So what is this new commentary system about? Well firstly, when Nat first showed me I was floored, it is THAT good. (The only thing better would be watching animation and that's not happening ....yet anyway lol). Not only will you more easily be able to follow the action but you will more easily be able to visualise whats happening, see exactly whats going on and who is involved. Not only this - but it will be live. That's right! No more having to wait for the end scores to go up. Tune in and watch the match unfold before you. 1 period will take about 15minutes of real time to go from start to finish. Once the game is finished you can read back over it as the complete commentary will remain up just as now.
We are also planning to release another new feature next week concerning players stats, but that is still being worked on for now, so stay tuned.

If there was a doubt, after this week, it's gone! We need a "Team Manager" feature... and we have it now!
Every team player could be appointed as "Team Manager". The TM could do almost everything a team owner can do. Only thing left out is access to "team identity" page. If a team have a team manager, you can see the name on the public team page.
Both Owner and manager could always access team's pages and setup. ATTENTION: there is no control over that! If you both edit settings in the same time it could lead to impredictable results!!
To set/unset/change your Team Manager, please DM Nat`rhon L`uukh with all the infos (Owners only).

Year 10 Day 349, 10:07 - New Feature and One "Coming-Very-Soon" Feature
The new features just keep coming, don't they? The first one today is just a tiny one but one that may prove quite useful. Team owners can now see what training their players have done for the past 4 weeks. This is not retroactive, meaning you will start seeing the last 4 weeks from this week (This week will show last two training, next week three, and so forth.)
The next announcement we wish to make should make all Free Agents and those signed for next season excited! Very shortly we will be releasing "Mini-ball", a cut down version of a full Shockball match in which Free Agents will be put onto teams and play each week! This will allow all players to play during the week, see how they are progressing and most important of all - allow team owners to look over prospective players results.

Features, they just keep coming here at CSL! Many of you have been wanting to be able to keep track of your stats and up until now the engine has been storing this information but we have not had it available. Well...ask and ye shall receive! Thanks to Nat, we can now see all our own stats for our entire career, season and in the last game. Team owners can also look over their entire team and see just whats been happening! Now a player could take a "Vacation". When a player is on Vacation she/he won't gain nor lose skill points and cannot sets any weekly parameter. The player could still be used during the matches, but his/her morale will be lower than normal. The Vacation will end either if the player decide to exit or automatically after 14 days. Vacations aren't infinite: once you start a Vacation, you'll have to wait at least 42 days before next vacation.
Players can set vacation under Main menu -> "account prefs".
This feature works in conjunction with the next.
From now on the owners will have an "Active" field for each player on the roster. Same field was added to "free agents" too. If a player haven't logged in for more than 14 days, there will be a red "inactive" next to it. If a player goes on vacation, there will be a green "vacation" and the vacation starting date. The vacation days are not counted for inactivity.
Red cross or green ticker are now on the upper right corner. A red cross will appear if a player haven't set his training yet and/or if it's inactive.
NOTE: Lacking login datas until now, all the users will have a default "last login" with today date; this means that our first inactives will pop up in 14 days.

Just to clarify and emphasise a point here.Any bonuses etc you pay to your players must still come under the 1mil salary cap. The Shocker, the weekly GNS of the CSL can now be found on this site! The link is at the top. However, this Shocker is not the same as the weekly GNS. It will have news stories and gossip from around the league posted during the week, the odds and betting trends will be updated on there daily as well as other bits and pieces, so this Shocker will have more then the weekly edition on SWC. Only certain stories will make it to the general populace.
Now here is where you, the player, comes in. If there is a story or some gossip or rumour you would like posted, shoot me (Troon Kebris) your story in a DM via SWC and we will consider it for print! So if you want to see more stories about your team or the "naughty" things others are doing - here is your chance!
I just want to remind everyone that in these stories there will be no god-modding allowed. So do not quote someone unless it has been said on irc/on forums and do not have people in your stories doing things without their consent.

We have made some changes on training. You can train leadership now! Being a mental ability, you'll suffer a bit phisically, due to inactivity. The exact outcome is up to you.... and some randomness!We have slightly adjusted the hard training routines, this way you always end up with some gain.

Year 10 Day 331, 08:30 - IMPORTANT!
We have had some issues of late again related to certain things being "decided" before being discussed. Two of these issues are:a) The teams that joined earlier did not have all the facts of what would come and now find themselves behind the 8-ball with too few players.
b) Some team owners being told that the league would pay player salaries, when in fact this would not be the case.
In an effort to sort both of these issues out, the admin team have discussed and come to the following solution. These changes come into immediate effect.
a) All teams, at seasons end, will receive a special lump-sum payment of 600,000 credits to pay their players (NB: Yes, this means the salary cap is now 100k higher - but also please note - anyone deliberately going over this new cap WILL be punished. The cap exists for a reason and we will enforce it if we have to.) The 600,000 can be dispersed between the players as the owner sees fit/can negotiate with his/her team
b) Teams are allowed to sign-up to 11 players. If you do not have 11 players, I suggest using your new cap to go get some ;)
We, the admin, feel this will hopefully fix any issues of confusion that may arise. This one time lump-sum payment will not be repeated in following seasons, that is, for the rest of time, it is the team owners responsibility to ensure they pay their own players.
For the record also, all rego fees paid to Aces Israel are, despite my contacts, at this stage still in his possession. What this means is that I personally will cover these payments until such a time that/if Aces sends the credits to the league.
On the subject of Aces Israel. The admin team have decided that Aces will no longer be "running" CSL. This has been a tough decision but in light of current circumstances and other "issues" we feel it is a step that we must take for the benefit of CSL. Please send all correspondence through to either myself (Troon Kebris) or Nat.

Year 10 Day 330, 04:00 - Bugfix and small handy features
Match stats page: All stats, sums and % should be right, now and I've added alt text for individual stats; just hover on every column title.
Team Matches View: going to Team->schedule, the magnifying glass icon now point to a new page; here you can choose to: see the match settings you used; see comments, see stats and copy the settings to another match if you want!
Team Match Settings: I've added a new "all" option to the "copy to"; using this you can copy one period over all others at once.
Hope all that could prove useful; now it's time to make something worthy for our players too!! ;)

Our first season is started!!
I've made all the routines by hand this time, so I've made it when I could... some hours before normal time, but after the deadline nevertheless.
You can see the results on both public and team schedule page. The green magnifying glass makes you read the commentary. At commentary bottom there is a link to the stats page!! :)
WOW! It was tough, really, but now it's all running!!
MANY things will be improved during this season both graphically and pratically, some are still missing (players XP management, fouls, advanced leadership (only basic overall+captain bonus applied now) come to mind), so every suggestion is really welcomed. Pay attention to all and help us improve our game!
KNOWN BUG
On some still unknown circumstances, the commentary is wrong and assign scores wrong. Sorry about that, I'm frantically searching where is the bug! :) The right score is always the stats page one (and shedule page, etc). Commentary one "may" be wrong.
Many things happened, and as many hints are there, hidden into commentaries and stats... have a good week of study!! ;)

Our first season will start this Sunday!!
This first round will be "hand driven"; that means I'll start every routine by hand instead of using cron jobs automation. I want to be shure everything works as intended.
The main drawback is that I cannot give you an exact time, there could be some delay... :)
If all goes well, you could read commentaries, stats etc on Y10 D329, 9:00.
You must set everything before Y10 D329, 0:00 !! No changes could be done between that time and the end of every match!

- Every team owner can choose his Captain now. Go to your roster page, choose the player from the drop down list and click submit. That's all. You can change your Captain every time you want.
- Every player can set his own aggressiveness attitude for the week now. Go to the new "Weekly Setup" menu item and set yours. On the same page you can see the Team's attitude setting. Keep in mind that both you and the team owner can change those values at will during the week.
- We have changed the substitutions part of "The Game" page to reflect the actual subs mechanism implemented on the engine. Go take a look at that, please.
- REQUEST: Please, complete all the settings for week one as soon as possible!! This will help me very much speeding up the final adjustments and we all could start enjoying the game faster. Remenber, you could always change them later.
Year 10 Day 313, 04:00 - New Home, New Forum!
We have a new home!The Galactic Sports League have his domain, now. That means that all problems and limitations we had on the technical side are gone!!
The first visible consequence of this migration is our new forum: finally we have a fully functional, pimped up phpBB3 installation.
You can log in using your username and password from the CSL site. In the future there will be complete integration: you'll log into CSL and are automatically logged into the forum; but you'd have a bit of patience for that, as our priority now is to kick start the first season as soon as possible!!
Migrate all the old forum's content into the new one is possible only manually, sorry... Help us migrate important contents on the new one! You can find the old forum using the corresponding left menu item.
That link will be avaliable until all the contents are migrated.
We have added a new useful feature: from now on, everytime there is news unread by you, the "news" menu item will turn orange. Never miss an important update again!!

We are reaching our goal, and today we're adding a key feature!Now every team manager can set his team for the forthcoming matches. There's a "schedule" item on the team's left menu.
This page lists all your season's matches. On the right there is an "edit/view" column. The icon for every match could be one of the following:
The match has been played yet and you will view it.
The match wasn't played yet and has not been configured. You can do it clicking on the icon.
The match wasn't played but has been configured yet. You can edit it clicking on the icon.The edit page.
On this page you can configure your team for the match. Set your team's attitude (aggressiveness) and all the subs for every period. You have to set the maximum fatigue level for every period. This value indicates when a substitution is performed during that period. Setting 70% means that every time a player exceed a fatigue level of 70/100, he'll be substitued. On the bottom right corner of every period's table there is a "copy to" field. You can copy every period's settings into every other period: select the period you want to copy to from the dropdown menu and hit copy.
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING!!
There is no control over it, you are completely free, so check that, because you'll recieve no warning if you entered, for example, the same player as starter in two different positions on a period!!

First features for team's managers!!Now you can view your roster. For evey player, you have all skills levels. Same for free agents. Probably the next update will be the match setting page, 80% finished at the moment. IMPORTANT:
We have very few registered players!! Kal`Shebbol Echelon is The only team meeting minimum roster requirements. You need at least 7 players and many teams have 2-3.
You need more players! Some players registered at the beginning, but never made here.
We will be ready to start first "beta" season on October's 3rd week and, if your team will be under roster it would be an horrible first season...
Go find your next superstar!! Talk with Archon about that, and fill your roster with active players!!

We found a bug that allow players to insert skills above 100 on certain circumstances.While we resolve the issue, we remind you that the maximum points allowed on a single skill is 100. If you insert a greater value by mistake, you could see that because there is a blank level on your final sheet. Send me a DM immediately, please and I'll fix that assigning points according to your will.
If I see a skill over 100 and no corresponding DM, I'll put that skill back and no point will be reassigned.

Year 10 Day 296, 00:41 - Players Rules Added
We have added an up to date version of the player creation reference. You can find it under "rules" on the main left menu.The game is developing quite fast, some concept are changing slightly, and other introduced.
Every player will remain "free agent" for the game engine until we make the team assignment later on. Don't worry, it's normal. All recent changes were discussed widely on IRC and elsewhere. I strongly encourage you to join the #csl IRC channell and ask frequently to us or your fellow players to stay updated during this early phase
For now on, every change, update, etc will be announced here. Once something is published here, it become official and every player/manager/user have to know it.
Changes:
- Players are not bounded to a role anymore, so do the bonuses on creation.
- Some more options was introduced on bonus. Now every unmodified skill could be selected: Pass, Throw, Block, Vision, Leadership.
- A new skill was added. You'll find all about Agility on the "rules" page.
- Total points raised from 35 to 37 to reflect new skill addiction.
- During normal play (after creation process) only skill's levels will be visible. All about that on the "rules" page.
